• Conduct and manage all phases of pressure vessel, piping, and cryogenic system design including engineering analyses and safety and life assessments, to generate and review pressure system documentation, and to perform trade studies, project scheduling and costing, hardware selection and procurement, and coordination of fabrication and assembly of hardware for aerospace research• Evaluate vessels, piping, cryogenic and other fluid systems and components with regards to temperature, pressure, heat transfer, structural, reliability, environmental, and safety considerations• Perform sizing calculations for relief valves, flow venturi and orifices, control valves, expansion joints, and piping welds• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII• Maintain familiarity with fluid type hazards and with NFPA and API codes
