• Oversaw the creation and updating of printed programmes and souvenir brochures for a number of major West End theatres and shows. • Worked with the clients and the team to determine the editorial direction of new and refreshed titles. • Researched and wrote new editorial and managed any freelance requirements. • Managed the ordering and billing for all prints and for any paid content.

• Oversaw the production of print products for various clients, including New Scientist, Autosport International, Live Promotions and Silverstone, and US-based clients like Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Circuit of the Americas and the Surface Mount Technology Association. • Liaised with clients on content, layout and progress. Prepared content for the designers and oversaw the production of pages. Worked closely with the commercial manager to maximise revenue opportunities. Liaised with the printer to prepare for print run. Created the digital version of the product, including embedding links to videos and websites.• Most editorial was supplied by the event organisers, so there wasn't much to do in that regard. However, it was a valuable role for honing my skills in international print production and using the latest digital print technologies.

• Planned, wrote and managed The Job, the 32-page former communications magazine of the Metropolitan Police Service. • Identified relevant topics and key messages for the 49,000 employees of the Met, conducted interviews with relevant sources and wrote all content, worked with design to conceive the look and photo concepts for each issue, prepared content for the designer and secured page approval from various sources.

• Managed several staffs of writers and designers to produce newspapers and a nightlife publication for the bedroom communities outside New York City. • Conceived and steered the development, launch and management of Exit, an irreverent weekly news magazine aimed at younger commuters. • Trained more than a dozen staff writers to be effective communicators. • Turned around an office of four underperforming local newspapers by changing the cost structure, hiring new talent and challenging them in their work.
