Recent Master of Science in Geosciences (Geology concentration) graduate with field and research experience in St. Catherines Island GA. The purpose of my research was to quantitatively assess the recent impacts of Hurricane Matthew in both a virtual (GIS) and field setting. My research involved GPS mapping of the shoreline, collecting shallow subsurface borings using Geoprobe and Vibracore technologies, and using GIS image analysis to delineate any landform changes. I have spent the last two years as a graduate teaching assistant instructing a variety of geological laboratory classes. My internship experience as a Geoscientist has provided me with the skills and knowledge of performing a variety of environmental soil, surface water, groundwater, and gas sampling techniques on Municipal solid waste landfills. Drawing on previous work and graduation school experience, my strengths include the ability to work long field hours in harsh conditions, seeing patterns and trends, mapping and correcting inefficiencies. I am passionate about scientific expertise, natural resource management, and environmental responsibility. Working in the field is a primary goal for my next career
