30 yrs +experience in Air Conditioning and refrigeration, Starting in the United Kingdom (HLA Services, Sunderland) as a senior Technician and emigration to the Gold Coast Australia in 2003. I am the director of Air Supply Air Conditioning. I manages and oversee the running of the business process at all stages. I need to be available 24/7 to help with all aspects of the business. I am also involved in product management and development. I work with key clients, as well as contractors, engineers, and mechanical and electrical (M&E) consultants, to establish needs, generate new opportunities and identify the potential of new technologies. Another key activity is I organise planning and implementing the launch of new product ranges, or identifying and moving in to new markets. This also involves forecasting and marketing, as well as dealing with issues around product quality. I maintain a focus on cost control, margins and sales revenue at all times. I have worked in the industry for a number of decades. I begun my career as technician before progressing to set up my own business. I have my ARC Licence, QBCC licence, Q-Build License, Trade License, White Card, Blue Card, working at heights, health and safety. I also organise health and safety, management, and training. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are absolutely essential to my role. As a director not only do I need to build relationships with clients, contractors and distributors. I need to successfully engage with people at all levels, to explain and promote the benefits of their products. I am authoritative but also very approachable, confident but not arrogant, and the act with integrity at all times. I have a flexible and adaptable approach. This helps them to understand and keep abreast of changes to industry regulations and advances in new products, brands, technologies and systems. I also can be adept and confident at delivering meetings and presentations. Excellent planning and project management skills. I have extensive technical and product knowledge. I am able to impart that knowledge in a clear and understandable way to my team and clients. I am very passionate, self-motivated and excellent at time management.
