CPX Pty Ltd is a privately owned print company in Brisbane. Originally called Copy Print Xpress, it was founded in 1995 and has since grown to a communications company employing more than 50 people. CPX printing is located in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane with an additional warehouse and distribution centre in Banyo. CPX in partnership with SOS Print + Media Group in Sydney, is one of the largest independently owned print companies in Australia. Together CPX and SOS Print + Media is Australia's largest digital print on demand provider. CPX has developed a comprehensive equipment list in offset and digital printing and in finishing enabling most projects to be completed in house. Most recent additions include a new Horizon automatic folder and a fleet of Xerox digital presses. In total we now bolster one of the largest digital production floors in the country. I was a founding Director of CPX in 1995 with fellow Director James Bennett.Establishing a completely new business structure.12 months after startup, CPX aquired a 75% interest in the SOS Printing, Brisbane operation and rebranded to CPX merging most of the equipment and staff.Director responsibilities for running a business. Founded in 1976 as a small print shop in the city of Sydney and shortly after opening locations in Melbourne and Brisbane. It has grown substantially, making it one of the largest independently owned printing companies in New South Wales. SOS has a sister company in Brisbane, CPX Print and Logistics, together with Brisbane the SOS Print + Media Group is Australia’s largest digital print on demand provider. My role with the then, SOS Printing - Brisbane, was City Operations Manager. Starting as a traniee sales person in 1982 and advancing through to Sales Manager and eventually Operations Manager. I oversaw all digital and sales operations.Developing a small customner base to a substantially monthly sales revenue stream. Exceeding growth expectations and smashing KPI's.Setting and reviewing budgets, staffing and productivity.Employing and managing a team of diverse employees. Attending regular overseas tradeshows and conferences to keep abreast with technology and world trends both in product and production offerings.
