Responsible for developing shipping strategy based on market research and customer requirements. I lead a team of outstanding people who help create new opportunities and build innovative solutions for our customers.

Responsible for all plant operations in the Gulf Atlantic District which includes mail processing plants in Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Macon, and Augusta GA.

The Great Lakes Area was made up of 9 large districts. In this role I was the lead executive engineering manager supporting all processing operations within the Area. My team determined metrics for performance and efficiency improvement of all mail processing and distribution operations in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Missouri. I oversaw a dedicated team of engineers and analysts who worked to streamline operations and improve service for our customers.

The St. Louis Network Distribution Center (NDC) is one of 21 NDC facilities nationwide. Coupled with the St. Louis Metro Annex we processed all Package mail (Priority, First Class, Parcel Select, Standard Post) originating from retail and commercial customers as well as all mail destinating to the Eastern half of Missouri and all of Southern Illinois. We also accepted and processed drop shipments of Marketing/Periodical Letter trays and Flat bundles (magazines/catalogs) from large mailers sorting for the NDC service area which included parts of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.

The Champaign P&DC processes mail for delivery in the 609, 617-619, and 624 3 digit zip service areas. Also, Priority mail originating from Peoria 613-616 and Springfield 625-627 is processed daily. I took over this role during the consolidation of Mail processing operations from Bloomington IL, Effingham IL, and Kankakee IL which increased daily volume by over 300%. I developed new processes, equipment solutions, and solved complex logistics problems.

Engineering Project management. Improved processes by analyzing data to fix problems with mail flows or errors in sortation. Validated transportation and identified problem sites around the country where service was below goal.

Industrial Engineer for the Western Area leading projects to improve productivity throughout plants in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.

Supported the Western Area creating service and productivity reports through Microstrategy. I lead multiple service teams to improve First Class mail service utilizing my ability to create specialized reporting to drill into opportunities and identify solutions which were implemented with operations management and employees.

Worked at the Area level to plan new machine installations and coordinated new programs in the field developed at the HQ level.

Accepted into a new two year training program within the Postal Service meant to introduce all functions and train you in many different roles. This gave me the opportunity to experience many different jobs in operations in delivery, customer service, mail processing, and district/HQ functions. I spent time as a supervisor and manager of distribution operations in mail processing and was a delivery supervisor for 6 months. This experience was vital in my success moving forward.
