In my training and experience as an Expressive Arts Therapist and community arts teacher, I have found courage, kindness, respect, openness, and gentleness essential to effective practice. The arts bring with them a certain vulnerability which is both the beauty of the work, but also cause for great care. This vulnerability carries a responsibility and opportunity to build relationships of ever deepening trust and mutuality as we do the work. When we build these creative and healthy relationships within the therapeutic relationship and the studio, we begin to build similar relationships with those around us and with ourselves. This is the power and effectiveness of my work. This is my passion.
