Recruits youth grades 6-12, assisting them in after school activities. Develops and maintains a positive teen and family community through YMCA program delivery by actively working with teens and family volunteers. Leads and advises staff and volunteers on the best direction. Tracks participant progress by maintaining contact with participants as well as appropriate staff members; provides support services as appropriate toassist participants in over coming barriers to program participation and training/employment issues. Maintains contact with current and former teen participants to ensure the YMCA is providing appropriate programs and services. Interprets and explains the YMCA mission and values with participants. Maintains accurate and complete client service records and participant outcomes. Other duties as assigned as they pertain to the teen programs and branch specific duties.

Responsible for maintaining safety of school-aged girls, most often between the ages of 10-18 at a 24-hour residential treatment facility (formerly Turning Point). This position included working independently at times and as a team member in the program. The position is responsible for daily documentation of behavior of youth in care, engaging youth in life skills or educational activities, providing leadership during crisis intervention, providing structure for youth, assisting in school work and engaging youth in positive non-structured activities during their leisure time, along with other duties as assigned.
