As the point of contact between the customer and the technician, my role as Field Service Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of all matters relating to the customer including the sourcing of labour to meet demand, scope, scheduling, pricing and invoicing of the work required, whilst ensuring that the customer’s repair and service requirements are achieved with agreed timeframe and budget.Paramount to the functionality of this position is requirement to ensure that the customer needs are investigated thoroughly and the solutions offered that add value to both the customer and WesTrac, thereby ensuring customer relationship longevity. I'm also responsible for providing supervision, leadership and work order direction to a team of technicians within the designated area of work to ensure safety and quality of work is of the highest standard. Some more roles in my new position in Newman are as followsRepresent WesTrac as the single point of contact for the customer and act as the conduit between the technicians and other stores regarding any request for service, repairs and other general queries Establish and maintain an effective customer relationship that promotes WesTrac as the service provider of choice Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure ongoing and future customer requirements are met whilst maintaining value to WesTrac Provide repair and service solutions/options in consultation with the workshop and/or Sales and Parts Department to ensure WesTrac remains Customer Solution Focused and customer expectations are met and/or exceeded Complete root cause analysis for section reworks to ensure appropriate action is implemented to prevent reoccurrences Review and assist with Failure Analysis Reports and determine corrective action Provide accurate quote analysis and generation in accordance to the customer requirements utilising the appropriate quoting tools available

Westrac have agreed to complete a major program of work in partnership with Caterpillar. The scope of work requires a high quality standard of work to be delivered within set time frames and specific cost parameters.As part of this program my job role contains the following-To promote and maintain a safe and clean working environment that complies with the Workplace Health and Safety Act. •Ensure all Company safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to and that all incidents/ accidents are reported on intranet.•Ensure all company policies and procedures, including quality assurance, contamination control, are promoted and adhered to.•Promote high involvement teams for employee development and involvement in the daily operations.•Monitor each job to ensure it meets the customers' expectations. Carry out final inspection on completion of all tasks•Assist with implementing and communicating schedules for manpower, rosters, training, capital expenditure budgets and KPI's.•Maintain 5 star rating for contamination control and provide continuous improvement•Ensure all section tooling is in safe working condition and calibration is up to date.•Ensure company safety procedures, safe working practices and Safety Lifesaving Rules are strictly followed, to achieve zero harm and incidents•Communicate WesTrac and departmental objectives/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and encourage the use of the Continuous Improvement (CI) boards to team members to ensure they are aware of and have an understanding of expectations and accountabilities

As Shift Supervisor i am responsible for the co-ordination and supervison of maintenance activities during the shif to ensure safe delivery of planned and breakdown repairs whilst maintaining a close relationship with the mining prodcution management team to deliver customer service in line with the clients mining priorities.Shift Supervisor also maintains a close working relationship with the maintenance planners and reliabilty engineers in controlling set schedules and providing feedback as per the MARC operational requirements.As Shift Supervisor i am responsible for managing personnel, ensuring compliance with both safety and company policies for WesTrac and Newmont, promotion of processes that deliver effieciency,effectiveness and consistency across all shifts to ensure the fleet's contractual performance is met in a safe and cost effictive manner.I control set schedules and represent the customer requirements on all jobs whilst promoting effective team work.Maintaining the processes for accurate capture and completion of machine performance detail in AMT as well as ensuring fininancial detail is accurately captured for tasks performed and allocated to correct accounts.

As a Leading Hand,approx 80% of the shift is spent on the shop floor supervising, coaching, guiding and encouraging all workshop personnel in day to day activities, with particular focus on Safety, Cleanliness, Quality and Efficiency so achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. As a Leading Hand I provide technical assistance to technicians and ensure all workshop employees use the applicable systems and processes on-site i.e. Risk Assessments, Parts ordering, Service reports as required, with the ultimate goals of “Zero Harm” & “Do It Right the First Time”. I am responsible for updating the Shift Supervisor on the conformance to plan, expected uptime versus planned up time on a shift to shift basis, the Leading Hand may also be required to assume responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor as delegated in his absence.It is my responsibility to ensure job execution is performed as efficiently as possible so that equipment does not remain down for longer than the allocated time.
