• Attorney in the firm's Commercial Litigation and Construction and Surety Practice Groups.• Drafted, reviewed, evaluated and/or negotiated numerous contracts and provided advice to clients on a daily basis regarding the interpretation of contracts and business strategy, including counseling clients on risk management, the development of strategies aimed at avoiding or mitigating liability and/or that allowed the clients to maximize their recovery on those occasions when they were forced to prosecute claims against third parties.• Prepared and successfully argued numerous dispositive motions in both state and federal court.• Actively participated in all stages of the discovery process, including drafting discovery and answers/objections, taking and defending large numbers of depositions and the prosecution and defense of discovery-related motions. This included cases where electronic discovery was required and cases where millions of documents were produced.• Represented clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies, including the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the EEOC, the PHRC and OSHA, in connection with various employment issues such as contract disputes, unemployment claims, alleged unpaid fringe benefits, alleged unsafe work conditions, non-compete clauses, wrongful terminations and employment discrimination claims.• Represented landlords, homeowners associations, real estate cooperatives and their employees in connection with proceedings to enforce community rules and regulations, actions to enforce the terms of sales and lease agreements, actions to evict delinquent tenants and civil rights proceedings.• Extensive experience in state and federal court equitable proceedings where injunctive relief or specific performance was sought, such as proceedings to enforce the terms of real estate sales or option agreements, proceedings to enforce proposed mergers and actions to enjoin evictions.
