Perform break fix tasks. Use Site Manager to verify and validate circuit and equipment health, perform backups and diagnose trouble in nodes around ring. Locate and resolve low light levels and high reflection by scoping and cleaning fibers and using Exfo OTDR. Replace failed transponder cards. Add new circuits to rings and fiber to handoff. Use Exfo test set to run RFC2544 end to end test. Use light meter, EXFO optical test set (FTB1), fiber scope, fault locator and fiber cleaning kit. Troubleshoot and break fix Cisco UCS data center server family; 5108 Chassis with blade servers as well as standalone C-series Cisco servers. Use Cisco UCSM to navigate and perform maintenance tasks for Cisco servers. Maintain Cisco Telepresence video teleconference systems around Phoenix and Tucson. Performing firmware upgrades and replacing failed components on Cisco’s video conferencing systems. Maintain and install server hardware for Veritas, Nutanix, Nvidia and Tintri servers at data centers and customer sites around Phoenix metro and perform break fix activities. • Repair/Maintain all aspects of T1/DS1 circuits from NIU to Central Office. T1 and HDSL. Extensive usage of T-Berd, TDR, Dynatel 956DSP, and electrical meters. Duties include removing bridge taps and load coils, replacing defective office repeaters, doublers, NIU’s, copper span repair, troubleshooting and provisioning DS1 side of optical muxes and digital carrier systems. Rerouting and redesigning circuits to restore service.• Repair/Maintain all aspects of DS0 circuits from NCTE to Central Office, including Central Office equipment and wiring (MFT, D4, Tie Pairs, frame wiring).
