I am currently working within the formulation group in both agricultural and wood protection . This encompasses well known technologies such as bead milling and high-shear mixing, as well as novel product platforms including encapsulation. I also offer technical support to the manufacturing plant and regulatory team. Products types I have been working on within agricultural protection are (to date include): emulsion concentrates (EC), soluble liquids (SL), suspension concentrates (SC), suspoemulsions (SE) and capsule suspension (CS). I am also the lead formulator for a new technology, intended for engineered wood.

Responsibilities Planning: Writing project proposals and project time lines (Gantt charts) Pre & full formulation development including all analytical development of topicals, gels and oral drenches Product commercialisation: Preparation and development of raw material and finished product specifications Pivotal registration batch manufacture & stability studies Chemistry, manufacturing and control (CMC) activities: Writing and reviewing regulatory documentation. Written and oral communication with clients: Technical memos, protocols, problem solving and scientific reports.Achievements Successful pre-formulation work won full formulation contract worth in excess of 1 million dollars against international competition. Full formulation development of a novel gel delivery system for applications in swine gestation within the US market. As project leader, successfully completed commercial development of Recuvyra, a transdermal solution for dogs (post-operative pain). EMA licence to manufacture in Europe was awarded in October 2011. Licence to manufacture in the US awarded by FDA( CVM) in June 2012. For the follow up product on this delivery platform, completed milestone of delivering clinical batch to the client for companion animal trials and all non-cmc development. Provided regulatory support for a successful approval in NZ for a major global client. Other global submissions are under review. Completed writing regulatory reviewed documentation (pharmaceutical development reports).

Onyx Ltd, Falkirk, ScotlandAn international waste management company which is part of the Veolia group. The Falkirk site was responsible for the disposal of several waste streams including the treatment and discharge of waste to sewer. In addition, processing of solid wastes sent to landfill.The scope of the job increased after starting the role and I then reported directly to the general manager.
