Steven G. Fauth is the principal of an insurance litigation firm which has been in operation since 1993. He has been litigating, however, on behalf of insurance companies since 1985 following graduation from Duke University School of Law. After handling significant commercial cases for Fortune 1000 companies at several prominent New York City law firms, he was asked to start a private practice to handle the cases of a private client insurance company exclusively, which he did beginning in 1993. He subsequently became General Counsel, Chief Claims Officer, Director as well as counsel of record of Tower Group, Inc. until 2007, when he took his firm private. He has continued to litigate complex and catastrophic defense cases, as well as coverage and subrogation cases, for Tower Group in New York City and surrounding areas. The Firm currently also represents Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Global Indemnity Group, QBE, large TPA’s and self-insureds.In his years of practice privately and as house counsel and a chief claims officer, Mr. Fauth has handled and overseen thousands of claims and lawsuits in the most difficult venues in New York-the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan-as well as others throughout the Country. He and the Firm have handled cases involving labor law and construction accidents, premises liability, negligent security, commercial auto liability, products liability, lead paint poisoning, and liquor law liability, among others, arising out of commercial liability and auto policies, including garage keeper’s liability policies, and homeowner’s policies.
