About Steven Grady
Hello, I am Steven Grady, a student of the University of Central Florida, where I am pursuing my Bachelors in Computer Science and Minoring in Entrepreneurship.I am most proficient in Java and C, but I have experience with Python, JavaScript. I recently completed my largest project during my internship at Meta during the 2022 Summer. I created an Android tutoring application for individuals with special needs. I love when my work enables delightful experiences for users, and as a U.S.-Peruvian dual citizen, I bring an emphasis on bridging gaps between users across cultures.To store and retrieve data, I used the open source Android SDK, Parse database. I also added child-friendly weather animations with the help of a weather API and personalized the user's feed using an algorithm. I made sure the entire schema was designed and built for usability and speed.During my first two semesters in college, I worked on various C projects where I utilized memory allocation, string manipulation, and basic data structures. Besides studying, I also taught myself web languages and took on freelance work in the field.Over COVID-19 lockdown, I began my career in tech by learning Python. That summer I worked for UT on a remote internship where my team and I built a website and visualized infection and transmission rates of the deadly virus via the John Hopkins public database.
