PI responsible for Identifying debris flow risks associated with the post-wildfire conditions due to the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire along the State highway system. Developed our Emergency Management Plan in close coordination with our Maintenance Patrols and Resident Engineer. Facilitated instrumentation and ongoing research proposals within the burn area, Collaborated with other Western states and CDOT regions to understand lessons learned in post-wildfire countermeasures and risk identification.Produced in-house designs for multiple bridge and culvert replacements utilizing hydraulic modelling, including 2D and sediment transport analysis in SRH-2D and HEC-RAS 2D.Ongoing development of UAS/drone best practices for the Colorado DOT for scoping-level project development as well as for forensic investigations of fluvial processes, i.e. high water marks, scour, and upstream supplies of sediment, debris, and woody material.

Worked with a team of dedicated water resource experts to produce a 2-dimensional hydraulic model of the Plum Creek inflow of Chatfield Reservoir to support rehabilitation of the river system and improvements to public enjoyment and responsible access of the area.
