At the City of Houston at least 12 years of my 14 years with the City I worked directly for David Tajadod (Managing Engineer City of Houston Wastewater Operations Construction Management Branch).I started as an Inspector, then promoted to a Senior Inspector, Project Manager, and finally a Senior Project Manager. As a Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager tracked contract spending and rehab footage for 20 plus contracts being executed simultaneously each year. In August of 2015 Portland Utilities Construction hired as their General Manager of their Houston office. Managed daily activities with Foremans and helped resolve issues with City personnel, citizens, and other departments with the City. Provided justification and documentation for change orders for work determined outside contract scope, Worked directly with the City on issuing work orders, attending progress monthly meeting, resolving issues with various work orders directly with City upper management. Organized and executed the contract close-out procedures with the City. As far as Portland office:Managed field & office employees, equipment (repairs, maintenance, requesting additional), and ordered materials. In the office I implemented standard operating procedures based on my past experience with the City of Houston. Trained employees to track daily payments, monthly pay estimates and to complete and submit required documents to the City of Houston. Developed and maintained a professional and comfortable working environment to encourage hard work and selfless attitudes. -

We were also required to relocate water and sewer lines that conflicted with the proposed Recycled Water Line installation. My duties included inspection to confirm installation according to specifications, review and approved monthly quantities for each contractor. Terminated due to project completion. -

I was responsible for locating the building corners, curbline, storm water, water line, and sanitary sewer manholes using a total station. Installed cut stakes and grade stakes (hubs) for sub-grade, and road base. Next project was a recycled county road project in George West TX with TXDOT. We recycled the existing road in stage and mixed in concrete stabilization. Again, set grade stakes for subgrade and final grade. After the George West project I was considered a Construction Surveyor per Master Contractor. Next, we performed the dirt work for another Wal-Mart in Kingsville TX. Again, located building corners, curbline, sanitary and storm sewer locations using a total station. Installed cut stakes and grade stakes (hubs) for final grade. Then went to San Marcos TX to perform the dirt work for another Wal-Mart. Next was the dirt work for a movie theater in Austin TX. Last performed the dirt work for an apartment complex in Portland TX. Same responsibilities as the dirt work performed on the Wal-Marts.
