Steven was born in Belgium where he obtained his Masters in Economics and Commercial Engineering. As a young graduate he joined a corporate company in Antwerp who sent him out to the African continent to develop new business, first based in Lagos (Nigeria) and later in Johannesburg (South Africa). There he met his wife Adelline who dragged him to his first yoga class. Fast forward several years later and Steven quit his corporate job as managing director to become a full-time yoga and mindfulness instructor. Steven experienced a series of radical and transformational shifts: from balance sheets to life balance, from increasing turnover and profits to increasing wellbeing, from business development to self development, from rushing around in cities and airports to maximising time in nature and with the family. He loves nothing more than sharing the practices that have supported him with others who are on the path of growth and discovery. Steven is the founder of Yoga Works in South Africa, which specialises in hosting yoga events and retreats in amazing locations in and around Johannesburg. He also facilitates corporate mindfulness workshops and yoga teacher trainings in Joburg. At the moment Steven and his wife are building a yoga retreat centre on the beach of Tofo in Mozambique, where they will welcome other conscious adventurers.
