Steven Seth Hoffmann is an associate attorney at KTLF. He works in the class action practice group on litigation matters. He is an accomplished legal researcher and writer, and he has made hundreds of court appearances on behalf of his clients. Steven is licensed to practice at all levels of the Missouri state courts, and before five federal courts: the US Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits, and the US District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. For two years, Steven practiced criminal defense and plaintiff's-side civil litigation at Newton Barth, LLP, with an emphasis on employment law and civil rights. Previous to being sworn in as an attorney, Steven worked in the Research and Writing Division of the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Missouri, where he researched and authored numerous motions for post-conviction relief. Before that position, he was a law clerk for the American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri, where he participated in several high-profile cases in the state involving important constitutional rights and civil liberties. In law school, Steven worked as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, assisting the supervising attorney in federal court proceedings. Before attending law school, Steven owned and managed a used bookstore in St. Louis from 2009-2014.
