Steve has been a Regional and/or Managing Director of Principal Financial Group® since 1997. The business center currently includes more than 50 representatives in four offices: Roseville, Elk Grove, Walnut Creek and Modesto. Before moving to California in 1997, he worked in the corporate headquarters of Principal® in Des Moines, Iowa as a project manager developing field leaders and financial representatives. He moved to the home office in May of 1992 after beginning his sales career in 1989. Steve has spent his entire professional career with Principal Financial Group. Steve is passionate about leadership. He is an active member and past local president (1999-00, 2012-14) of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He currently serves on the board as a committee member at the state level. He travels to Washington DC often to lobby for his industry and the public at large. He is also a member of FINSECA professional association and the society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP).
