Initiatives include promoting diversity within nursing through increased accessibility and community outreach. Research includes Participatory Action Research; Student retention; and Nursing student peer mentorship projects. I believe in a democratic teaching environment and workplace to allow everyone the freedom to truly grow and expand, and only through true collaboration and democratic relationships can one reach their true potential. We all need to ensure we use our power in progressive and positive ways to not stifle the creativity and passion of others.

CurrentI feel very fortunate to be able to return to my passion for teaching and I enjoy George Brown's focus on teaching and learning excellence and student retention/succcess. Really amazing how community colleges in Ontario can operate so differently with respect to what they feel is important and how they demonstrate commitment to employee and student.

Responsible for managing a team of 14 full-time faculty and 60 part-time union faculty within the School of Community & Health Studies.
