I joined Calderpeel in September 2000 having gained a solid foundation in the residential, industrial and healthcare sectors.Within my first few years at Calderpeel I developed the technical expertise required to realise and deliver large complex developments in both the residential and commercial sectors. I thrive on the opportunity to deliver design led technically sound solutions throughout the detailing and construction stages of a project. Within the Residential sector I have been heavily involved in the design and construction of multi-storey city centre apartment schemes, mixed use schemes, housing developments of varying sizes, waterfront apartment schemes, one off 'super houses' and smaller conversion and adaptation / extension work. I am at ease with varying forms of construction including loadbearing masonry, timber frame, concrete frame, glulam frame and steel frame solutions.Commercially I was involved in the Chancery Place development and I was heavily involved in the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue PFI Project leading the project on the technical side from competitive pre-planning work through the varying competitive project stages, onto Planning, through Financial Close, Construction and Completion with all 4 Stations plus the SkillZone Life Skills Centre hitting service commencement in July 2012. I also delivered Blocks C and D on Lowry Wharf Phase 2 (2 No. mixed use buildings of 8 and 10 storeys respectively). I recently led the technical delivery of a 70,000 sq.ft combined Police and Fire HQ building for Derbyshire Police and Fire Services alone. Current jobs on the board (monitor) are a replacement Leisure Centre within the Birmingham area and a small housing development. I have the ability to deliver individually and work as part of a team to realise complex and imaginative design led schemes whilst managing to secure repeat work from clients based on the standard of service that they have recieved. Taking measured surveys for a wealth of projects. Production of working drawing information for small and large scale Residential Projects, Healthcare Projects, Education Projects and undertaking Local Housing Authority work including Maintenance and Replacement Contracts. Entirely drawing board based with self taught AutoCAD Skills moving onto City and Guilds qualification in AutoCAD.
