DRIVE - domestic violence service

• Domestic Violence intervention: Behaviour change/healthy relationships work with individuals in prisons and the wider community across and outside of London• Managing large case load, assessing holistic need, liaising with IDVA’s (victim support workers) to monitor and reduce risk to victims and children• Attending fortnightly Croydon MARAC meetings to discuss and accept new referrals • Multi-agency work with Children’s Services, Probation, Mental Health & Substance Misuse services

● Supporting high-risk clients to manage their hostel tenancy accommodation and empower through recovery process● Daily managing of high-risk conflict, Class A substance use and domestic violence issues, completing daily incident reports and liaising with the police to safeguard vulnerable adults

● Managing a team of practitioners to undertake holistic assessments and deliver care-planned tier 3 interventions for under 25’s requiring substance misuse treatment● Carrying own caseload to support high risk young people with harm reduction and re-engagement with education, training and employment ● Risk assessment and care-planned support for young people referred from social care for CSE support (under 18)● Risk assessment and creative engagement with young people who have gone missing by undertaking ‘return home interviews’ within 72 hours of notification (under 18)● Monitoring and improving outcomes through monthly audits, observations and best-practice training delivery

● Managing a team of Early Help Practitioners to provide high end/level 3 holistic support to children, young people and families with complex needs. Providing monthly supervision, allocating new referrals, addressing child protection/safeguarding issues daily and working with social care to ensure needs of families appropriately met ● Monitoring and improving outcomes through monthly audits, observations and best practice training delivery

Assessment of families and their needs borough-wide to refer into appropriate support services and treatment. Working with whole families, direct interventions are delivered to often hard-to-reach families within their homes to address crime reduction, domestic violence, substance misuse, NEET young people, support parents back into employment and appropriate training, housing/rent arrears support, mental health support and parenting skills.Interventions are offered for high end/high need families for 6-8 hours per week until agreed positive outcomes are achieved and families are able to function independently once again. Lead Professional role is therefore taken on for all families worked with, coordinating the TAC/TAF (Team Around The Child/Family) meetings, care plans and providing intensive support to ensure long-term positive change.Interventions used within role:* Restorative Approach* Motivational Interviewing* Solution Focussed Approaches* Mediation
