My role with Dalton Metal Recycling, soon developed from a Sales and Contracts Manager to becoming Company Secretary. I reported directly to both Managing Directors and had significant involvement in the daily management of the business. I supported the company accountant and over saw all financial and reporting aspects. I was also involved in the Sales & Marketing processes and analysed the return from such functions.

Standard Life was my first full time permanent position following completion of my higher examinations at West Calder High School. Throughout my 8 years at Standard Life, I used this time to learn and understand a number of the different area's within the firm, these include:- 1st level access - Sales (From local to National level)- Marketing- Finance and compliance- System and support (Salesforce.com adminstrator)I look back on my time at Standard life as an almost apprentiship to business and all the area's within business. This experiance and diversity of role have given me the skills required to succeed at management level.
