I am a trade-certified Fitter & Machinist, with 30 years’ experience in the mining, steel, automated valves, water purification, and metal machinery industries. My roles have extended across technical services, workshop and production management, providing me with a diverse and well-balanced skill set.Having the natural ability to engage and interact favourably with others, I perform well in a team environment, but am equally capable of excelling in my own individual capacity. As an approachable leader, I strive to lead by example, displaying a strong commitment to the principles of integrity, trust, and the promotion of a positive work environment.NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS:• As Production Fitter at Autovalve, I re-designed automated valves, significantly increasing production and improving product quality.• As Factory Maintenance Fitter at Siemens, I implemented a filing system for all machinery according to ISO regulations, successfully streamlining the former system.• Recipient of the Genmin Apprentice of the Year Award for Practical Work, at Buffelsfontein Gold Mine in 1991.
