Contracted to LTSscale. I developed LTS_DataLink, a C# PC utility to communicate through networks to scales on trucks and forklifts. LTSscale engineers install and configure the system, and their customers connect to truck and forklift scales to bill their shipping clients. LTS_DataLink reads scales into a customer database and creates a vendor billing file. Its diagnostics assist engineers and customers with scale linkage problems. I wrote an engineering utility to configure LTS_DataLink for each customer for different scale, network interface, data storage, and customer report format. I wrote a user manual for customers and an engineering manual for installation and configuration of the system.

I was part of a team testing a microprocessor controlled medical implant, a neurologic stimulator. I developed JavaScript and C functions to control the Texas Instruments MSP430 debugger running the implant. The JavaScript test functions performed software tests with scripts running the implant software code. I wrote UNIX Bash scripts linking C test code with production builds into the implant software. Bash scripts scanned test results and generated LaTeX documents to create test reports. I wrote C and assembly test functions used in testing implant hardware and software. I used scopes and meters to test implant radio-controllers hardware and software.

I worked with an engineering team designing a new product that controlled valves dispensing solutions into bottles on a moving tray. I designed the control system software for several 32-bit ARM microprocessors in the new circuit cards with the GNU C/C++ compiler. I developed a sophisticated system of timers and controls that sensed tray positions and dispensed solutions according to recipes received from a PLC via RS-232. I designed the CAN bus message interface controlling the ARM microprocessor network. I created a circuit board testing system to exercise functions by sending commands via the CAN bus

I used Analog Devices Visual DSP++ to program Blackfin and Sharc processors embedded systems. Using Visual Studio 2010, I wrote several PC utilities in C Sharp that communicated through Ethernet to the Blackfin and Sharc processors. I developed a debugger, flash memory programmer, and PC utilities to display and debug measurement and control systems on circuit boards. I wrote a manufacturing test in Visual Studio for a new engineering product testing circuit cards, LEDs, and cables.

Developed Windows forms applications in Visual Basic .NET for analyzing tire forces, tire frame data and behavior. I created a post processing tool to read automobile test data for customized graphical displays and analysis of test data. Working with mechanical engineers, I created race car modeling programs. Working in Windows Server, I wrote multitasking programs to run the complex modeling systems. Created classes to analyze data using curve fitting and cubic splines incorporated into Windows DLLs. I wrote C++ software to read proprietary encoded tire data.
