As a part of a rapidly growing startup I do everything. I work on r&d, CAD design, rapid prototyping, panel fabrication, deployment, operations, etc. Nothing is every too small or too big that I can't manage to find a creative solution for. My main objectives are to develop new technologies related to desalination while further advancing the designs of our system. Designed a novel HDH desalination system to provide clean water as local solutions. Creating new curriculum for week-long pre-orientation program that introduces 32 incoming freshmen to mechanical engineering through construction of soccerbots.· Worked with head of Mechanical Engineering Dept. to develop a curriculum to introduce freshmen to mechanical engineering· Developed new design for week-long pre-orientation teaching basic engineering concepts through construction of soccerbots

· Built an electric vehicle that is capable of driving 200 miles on 10 minute rapid recharge· Responsible for electrical, oil pump system, and system control unit. Fabricated a custom breakout box for SCU· Worked with A123systems in researching lithium iron-phosphate batteries with low internal resistance

· Built a nanometer single axis approach mechanism for an Atomic Force Microscope· Designed a precision adjustment mechanism for focusing a 5-micron laser beam spot onto a 10-micron cantilever tip· Utilized Precision Machine Design concepts and flexure design· Interviewed for an article in Popular Science

Designed carbon fiber crumple zone and other automotive safety features for 200 mpg series-hybrid car intended for Indian market. Researched different composite materials for a monocoque chassis and body panels. Performed Life Cycle Analysis in order to design a car with smaller environmental footprint than Prius. Met with automotive leaders such as Bharat Forge, Ganage, ARAI, and Tata Motors to develop a supply chain for the next iteration of the project.

Designed, Prototyped, and Built numerous drivetrains and articulators for a 5’, 120 lbs. robot for an international robotics competition over a four year span. Trained and managed a team of 100+ members. Developed teaching curriculums for robotics team and robotics tech class. Also held positions as Webmaster, Primary Machinist, Director of Field Construction, and Vice President.

While at Cox I was given three objectives. The first one was to help optimize the production of their flagship product, Electro-Mechanical Expulsion Deicing System (EMEDS). The second was to assist in prototyping a Mechanical Expulsion Deicing System. Lastly, start developing a new deicing system that utilized audio frequencies to lower power consumption of EMEDS called Acoustic EMEDS.
