Managed 9th through 12th grade high school that has 365 students and 45 staff members. In consort with the principal, designed and implemented vision and 6 week plans for the school and each academic year. In order to execute this vision and 6 week plans, created and implement professional developments for the entire campus for a month in August and every Friday afternoon during the year. 78% of staff reported high satisfaction with professional development on mid-year anonymous survey.Worked to redesign the school scheduling system and moved from a traditional 9 class schedule to a block schedule. Directly responsible for designing the new scheduling program and messaging to scholars. Have oversaw and coached teachers in our science, math, Korean, and elective departments. Managed the schoolwide Computer Science initiative that increased Computer Science enrollment from 30 student to the entire 9th and 10th grade (224 students). In addition to academic coaching, redesigned and taught the SAT preparation course for the school that has seen a 150 point increase in scholar performance in the 6 week implementation period when compared to diagnostic scores. Co-designed and implemented a redesign of the schoolwide management system that contributed to a net decrease of 54 suspensions compared to the previous year. Have directly oversee and coached 5 staff members in our operations team that are responsible for our schoolwide operations and systems Designed and implemented data tracking systems for grade levels that allowed teams to rapidly respond using real time student behavior and instructional data. Created a system that updated in real time high flyers for various behaviors/infractions (most demerits, violations, suspensions, and low attendance). In addition to my duties as an assistant principal, I also continued to teach AP Physics during my time in this position.

11th and 12th grade Physics Teacher at Democracy Prep Charter High School. Transitioned into this position within the same school in order to develop a new curriculum that would increase the success of our students. Currently creating a new curriculum for the high school that focusses on student centered learning and student discourse as a means by which to discover the principles of Physics. Took scores for the school from a pass rate of 40% to a pass rate to a pass rate of 86% over the two years that I was teaching the course. 2% of all scholars with IEPs in the city of New York that passed the Physics Regents were in one of my classes.In my second year in the role, I founded the AP Physics 1 program at DPCHS. As a result, all students at DPCHS now had the opportunity to take two AP science courses before enrolling in the college of the their choice. I designed the new curriculum and designed an AP prep program in the lead-up to the AP exam as a means to help all scholars access in the test. This past academic year (2017 - 2018), 25% of students achieved a score of 3 or better which is approaching the national average of 40% and far exceeds the pass rates for schools similar to DPCHS.

Chemistry teacher at Alliance Media Arts High school. Media Arts is a charter school that has been open for 3 years and I was the first chemistry teacher that the school has had. In addition, to daily teaching requirements, I have designed a new curriculum, solicited over $2500 worth of lab supplies and resources from outside vendors, and helped to implement new programs that target how students learn science throughout their 4 years at Media Arts. In addition to teaching, I am coach of the running team, advisor to the design club, and advisor to the student activist committee. 85% of students took and passed a standards aligned final exam that was modeled off of the Harvard-Westlake curriculum (one of the most prestigious schools in the United States).
