Steve is Chief Investment Officer and an Investment Adviser Representative of Clarity Asset Management, Inc. and has been with the firm and its predecessor, Resource Planning Group, since 2000, where he was a Financial Planning Specialist.Steve is a 1975 graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Administration with a Business emphasis. He was employed by Des Moines Savings & Loan and Ames Savings & Loan in Ames, Iowa, from 1975 to 1989, where he was Assistant Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Financial Managers Society. He holds the Series 65 license and the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation from the College for Financial Planning. He has earned the Certificate of Financial Planning from the Boston Institute of Finance, and the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.Steve has also been active in theological education and pastoral leadership, which he pursued as his full-time profession from 1989 to 2000, conducting leadership training seminars throughout the United States and Southeast Asia. Steve continues to travel to Myanmar, India, and Thailand, helping church networks with leadership training and community development projects. Locally, he serves on the board of the Matthew 25 House, a Christ-centered halfway house for former prison inmates, and helped found the Two Paths mentoring ministry to Story County Jail inmates and their families.A resident of Ames for over 50 years, Steve and his wife, Shelly, have four children and eight grandchildren.
