ESI-EMD Owners Group ChairmanThroughout my 28+ year tenure in the largest Emergency Diesel Generator Owners Group in the industry, I have provided extensive experience and guidance, bringing numerous advancements in the preventative maintenance recommendations for these key safety systems. My tenure in this position is the longest in the groups’ 29 year history. Called upon to lead the group as a whole since July 2006, I brought together the best from each member utility to leverage their strengths and experience in streamlining the recommended maintenance programs to further increase the systems’ availability. Utilizing feedback from INPO, each of the member utilities, and even from our nation’s military sources, the Owners Group maintenance and testing for the EDGs and supporting systems has capitalized upon the use of technology and analysis in our constant effort to improve. These industry achievements are recognized by INPO.INPO, WANO, and EPRI RecognitionRecognized by INPO and WANO as a leader in Diesel Generators, I have provided expert assistance to these agencies in their mission to increase the EDG equipment reliability and system readiness for plants, both in the US and overseas. At no time have my systems failed to respond to any accident or incident whereby Emergency AC Power was required.
