I have been in the artistic painted finish business since 1983. After doing 2 years of straight painting I knew I wanted more.And there was a "field" out there that I wanted to get into. I went to the Joanna Day Studio Workshop, Inc to learn the modern day technique of art of the painted finish in San Francisco. I learned everything from the simplest rag finish on walls, distressing of wood to look hundreds of years old, mixing and establishing the correct paints, understood colors, and learned faux finishes from the simplest of clouds to the most dramatic stone finishes. Also learned the interstice of stone finishes such as limestone, several marble finishes and that of the semi-precious such as Natural Tortoise shell, Agate, Amethyst, the stunning affect of Tiger Eye, Jade, and the most intricate of rhodocrosite amongst several others. I also learned finer art of tromp l 'oeil and colors there to. I attended the Sepp Leaf to learn several Venetian Plaster finishes in New York City on Park Avenue. I learned all the most high end to the simplest of plasters which are popular in today's artistic market. We are very professional in all painting, plaster finishes, faux finishes, and tromp l 'oiel, hanging all types of leaf, etc.
