Currently working as a client QC piping and structural inspector representing Tengiz Chevron Oil on the $36 billion-dollar Future Growth Project in Kazakhstan. My role as an inspector is based in the various Italian construction and assembly yards ran by Cimolia and Baker Hughes General Electric. My role was primarily split over the two main yards in the North and in the South of Italy

Azerbaijan

Contracted by Star Gulf on the fabrication of two 12,000-ton offshore steel jackets in the Socar SPS yard. My responsibilities as site QA/QC engineer required me to manage and direct a team of 30 welding inspectors who ensured that all welding processes were delivered to project specifications and standards.In addition to the above, my responsibilities also included, Chairing Weekly Quality Meetings with BP Client, Troubleshooting Minor and Major issue’s which occur during each day on the Fabrication shop floor and in Erection areas. Raising NCR’s when a None conformance incident occurs, Reviewing Fabrication certification packages before erection Jacket Roll up activities can start, sign off roll up Lifting Permits for all the welded joints associated with Section Roll up at the time. Reviewing completed Pipe work packages and release for Hydro testing. Overseeing the subcontractor during Hydro –testing activities procedures and ITP and Safety are adhered too.Responsible in reading and sanctioning all Contractors Radiographs Subsea Pipework & including Welders Qualifications throughout the project.

Italy

I was employed in a client role by Allseas, providing QA/QC oversight to the Pieter Schelte project which constructed 16 TLS beams, each with a weight of over 2,000 tonnes.The project was spilt over 5 locations in Italy and my main role was providing oversight and guidance to a team of QA/QC inspectors to ensure that all QA/QC procedures and standards were developed and implemented. My responsibilities on the project also included the following:•Chairing Quality Meetings with the contractor, •Troubleshooting Minor and Major issues which occur during each week on the Fabrication shop floor. •Raising Client NCR, s when a None conformance incident occurs. •Monthly Audits are carried out on Cimolai and their subcontractors in different Departments and on different sites. Reviewing all Fabrication certification MK packages and assembly Packages for final MRB certification Documents. As-built records, Quality personnel, Equipment etc.•Overseeing Out Fitting Scope on all skids and Levers. Fast lift Cylinders, accumulators, pipe work and Hydraulic pipe work i.e. pipe work installed on the outfitting side of the project. Full traceability packages for the Out fitting developed by Contractor and Reviewed and signed off by the Client QA/QC lead and Lloyds rep. •Responsible in reading and sanctioning all Contractors Radiographs. Carrying out Quality Audits on Contractors and Sub-contractors.

United Arab Emirates

I was employed by McDermott Marine on the COP BP project as the projects Quality Manager covering yards in the Dubai and Azerbaijan regions.•Management and co-ordination of all QA/QC activities associated with Cop Project associated Fabrications. – Sub-sea Spools. Riser and Pipeline laying activities. Weld PQR, s. Welders qualifications on the. 30’’, 18’’ (WI X70) 16’’ & 14’’ subsea Pipelines and installing of the riser pipe work to the platforms. PLBG (barge) & DSV diving vessel activities.•Responsible to cover 2 fabrication yards and 2 vessels in Baku (Azerbaijan)•Liaison with customer and sub-contractors to ensure quality standards are met.•Carried out internal and External Audits on Sub- contractors throughout Baku. Pre-qualification Audits and Audits on Qualified contractors.•New Quality Procedures to compile and send through for Clients review and Approval. Review and Adjust some Quality to suit the Project •Assistance to Contractors and Subcontractors for improvement of Systems to meet the goals of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001•Attend all Kick off meetings with sub-contractors and Management Contracts awarded; meeting includes S.O.W., schedules, ITP, Etc. •Attend all Project Kick off meetings with clients and Management meetings throughout the projects •Responsible for inspection on vendor skids, vessels, pumps equipment, Valves etc when arriving on site, interface in with vendors on site when problems occur, review all vendors documents and certification before release•Responsible at the End the Project to review and sign off all documentation As-built final packages of the COP sub-sea pipelines In the Caspian•Responsible to review Radiography’s and over sea NDT operations on 2 fabrication yards •Responsible and in charge of the whole of the quality team of 40 Qualified People.

Kazakhstan

I was employed by Kellogg Brown and Root as a client QA/QC engineer on the Kashagan project in Kazakhstan where my responsibilities included:•Overseeing Contractor of fabrication on Pipe-racks steel work and process pipe being fabricated in Azerbaijan at CSC Yard and Zykh yard in Baku & Kazakhstan KKL Yard Aktau.•verifying and witnessing work been carried out by the Contractor, Welding, Painting Systems, E&I, Hydro-testing, Insulation, Heat-tracing,100% radiographic•interpretation of all process pipe work, Reviewing all Documents, certification, work test packs. Line walking, reinstatement of tested pipe-work for project, As built dossiers.•Overseeing all tie downs on Load outs on to Barge Tie Other Duties Stand in HSE coverage when HSE Engineer was on leave rotation or visits to other sites.•Attend and Chair weekly Project meetings with Contactor CSC & Agipkco team.•Carried out Audits on CSC & KKL companies and their subcontractor Systems and records also Daily Audits carried out on above Processes.•Business trips to Rosette Marino contractors’ yard in Italy for final review and Sign off on their final MRB, s dossiers packages

United Arab Emirates

I was employed as a vendor coordinator and inspection representative for a RasGas platform project which were placed into construction yards in Dubai and Italy. My responsibilities included:•Vendor coordinator Inspector working in Europe but Based in North Italy FAI Engineering Company•Undergoing fabrication works for McDermott/Client (Ras-Gas) Construction of large Pig launcher’s, •Witnessing Points: Quench & Temper on large forging at factory’s north Italy, Mechanical testing, Hydro-testing,•Repair welding on 24 “to 36 “Ball valves. Auditing main contractor and their Subcontractor•Overseeing fabrication of the 30 “Pig Launcher and subsea Barred booted Tees (all Inconel Cladded•Welding internals S.A.W Process) Hold QA/QC Meetings with contractor weekly basis. •Daily Inspections carried out on Fit ups and welding activities Audits carried out on all welding process•Through each day, Highlight to Quality manager work shop Quality problems and sometimes none conformance •Witnessing All NDT UT, MT, RT& DP carried out by the sub-contractor

Mexico

I was part of a start-up team that was put into place to assist and support the setup of a new construction facility in Altamira in Mexico. My role as start-up project quality manager required me to:•Training Local Quality Personnel & McDermott Quality systems and procedures•Responsibility Train new QA/QC employees at the Altamira yard •Teach various discipline McDermott employees Quality systems put in place prior to Project startup •Review procedures and train New starts the awareness of their own department procedures •Liaison with customer and sub-contractors to ensure quality standards are met.•Attend all Project Kick off meetings with clients and Management meetings throughout the projects •Train Local QA Engineer in the requirements of McDermott Audit systems.•Performed external audits on Sub- contractors throughout Mexico and local areas In Tampico. Employed by J Ray McDermott Caspian Contractors in Baku Azerbaijan working on various British Petroleum construction projects which included the Central, East and West Azeri Platforms. My role as QA/QC Manager required me to:•Manage and co-ordinate of all QA/QC activities associated with Oil and Gas Associated Fabrications. Topsides – Sub-sea Spools and platform structures.•Organization, training and overseeing work practices of QC Inspection and certification teams and Provision of Quality Awareness training to all employee disciplines...•Liaison with customer and sub-contractors to ensure quality standards are met.•Carried out internal and External Audits on Sub- contractors throughout Baku.
