I am a fermentation biotechnologist currently working with ARCITEKBio Limited. Prior to this, I completed a BSc in Microbiology at Aberystwyth University during which I completed a year in industry working with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, L.P. as a Process Microbiologist and eventually switched to Sterility Assurance. Having a keen interest in academia, after graduating , I pursued a PhD in Biotechnology, where I collaborated closely with industrial partner ABER Instruments Ltd. My research focused on synthetic biology and dielectric spectroscopy, leading to novel advancements in real-time phenotype monitoring of yeast. Simultaneously I worked with ARCITEKBio Ltd and specialised in fermentation and downstream processing in order to produce an alternative sweetener. I have demonstrated passion for my work and research interests throughout my career, while being driven by curiosity and innovation. I am a proactive problem solver and enjoy communicating whether that involves presenting research or collaborating with cross-functional teams.
