Communicates with Soldiers, DA civilians, and Military Department regarding personnel security; review and submits all security clearances application and reapplications required in Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG); monitors all CTARNG security applications and reapplications as well as incident reports from Department of Defense Central Adjudication Service (DoD CAS); assist with rebuttals and responses to incident reports requested by the DoD CAS; ensures all Soldiers security records are maintained and updated to ensure compliance with current Army Regulations. Processed over 300 security clearance applications and 130 incident reports during FY 20 ensuring all mobilizing units were 100% prior to departure. Created first Personnel Security Standard Operation Procedure to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, increasing completion rate of applications by over 60%. Continued to improve PERSEC SOP while breaking out smaller sections that were deemed increased importance with the release of SEAD 3 to include foreign travel and self-reporting. Updated system of record to ensure all assigned soldiers and DA civilians were accounted for and all others were removed, over 2000 records, from system upon assurance of assignment to the CTARNG

Supervises the daily operation of the human resources section which supports the Regional Training Institute (RTI) Headquarters and three Battalions with responsibilities for officer producing schools across an eight-state region; responsibilities include personnel accountability and strength reporting, Soldier Record Brief updates; processes individual personnel actions, SIDPERS updates and unit payroll; track and report medical readiness; advise the Administrative Officer, HR Officer, Commander and other staff members on personnel and administration matters; lead and train subordinate Soldiers; assist in instruction of various HR related topics in all courses provided at the RTI. Assisted in updating standard operation procedures for section based on current annual inspection and bi annual schoolhouse accreditation to ensure all daily activities are in support of these requirements. Selected to teach 4 months of development training for the regiment based on HR expertise and poise behind the podium. Continually worked to facilitate communication across the subordinate units to ensure better communication flow resulting in lower conflicts of resources and increased situational awareness between subordinate commands. Commended by inspection team during accreditation where the regiment was awarded institution of excellence, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of all army school houses.

Support 85th Troop Command Operations with planning, coordination and participation in activities which involve training operations and readiness of units within the Troop Command structure; provide assistance to the commander and staff in preparing plans, procedures and operations orders to support accomplishment of command objectives; coordinates operation resources, installations sites and requirements of subordinate units. Managed over 250 school seats each fiscal year to completion to ensure maximum school attendance and completion. Managed a budget that exceeded 1.5 million annually to ensure wisest spending practices were used ensuring maximum school seats were utilized while expending 98% of utilized funds. Was able to secure over 850 additional school seats in FY 12 increasing the required Primary Military Education to over 90% completed. Built and maintained a mobile tactical operations center on a limited budget, ensuring functionality of section continued when mobile.
