I am an experienced Shift operations technician who’s has been in the power generation industry for the last 5 years. Prior to this i studied for 3 years in the Merchant Navy where i achieved officer of the watch unlimited - Motor at Warsash Maritime Academy where i also got my HNC in Marine Engineering. As part of my studies i studied electrical and electronic engineering and steam and motor power plant. This unique experience has given me a more in depth knowledge which has been invaluable in the shore side power industry. I make safety a priority, following HSE and company guidance. For the last 3 years i have been an authorised SAP and achieved HV authorised up to 33kV.Experienced in operating and maintenance of variety rotary prime movers including 2 and 4 stroke diesel and gas marine engines, let down turbines and gas turbines along with all associated auxiliary/ancillary equipment such as chillers, HVAC, UPS, cooling water and lube oil systems and steam systems. Proficient use of DCS and SCADA operating systems, which include but not limited to trend building and analysis, following operational flow diagrams, safety matrixes and ESD routine testing.
