Worked on a voluntary basis at the ongoing research project at Huaca Pucllana, a Lima Culture (100-650AD) adobe pyramid and associated structures located in the heart of Miraflores, Lima, Peru. The current excavations are located on top of the pyramid and include later Huari period (500-1000AD) burials.Responsibilities included on-site excavation, recording, finds drawing and planning

Duties included on-site supervising and assistant directing of excavations as well as running some smaller excavations; editing, writing and production of reports, researching and compilation of archaeological, historical and cartographic information; post-excavation processes including finds processing, digitizing of plans and scale drawing of finds, field-walking surveys; compiling final site archivesI worked on a wide range of projects at various stages of development from pre-planning research and assessment including the archaeological aspects of Environmental Impact Statements and Cultural Heritage Reports to on-site work ranging from archaeological monitoring and testing to full excavation of sites prior to development.Participated in three large research projects relating to the post-medieval and Industrial archaeology of Counties Kildare, Longford and Meath. These projects involved a comprehensive listing and mapping of post-medieval industrial features within three parts of Ireland and comprised an initial desk-top based identification of all post-medieval and industrial archaeological features within the given area through cartographic analysis and research, followed by the creation of a searchable database of all sites encountered.Conducted a survey and assessment on behalf of the Heritage Council of Ireland and Longford County Council on the Public Accessibility of Archaeological Monuments of Co. Longford.The types of sites ranged from multi-period sites with settlement evidence from the Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age periods; Bronze Age cremation pits, large Bronze Age pit and ring-ditch as well as numerous early medieval, medieval and post-medieval settlement and industrial sites.
