Steven’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of business transactions, corporate structuring, acquisitions, financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, all stages of commercial real estate development, as well as estate management and WillsSteven has represented Canadian companies in the acquisition, sale and structuring of businesses in both Canada and the United States. He regularly advises clients on venture capital and corporate finance issues, as well purchase and sale transactions, shareholder and partnership agreements, corporate governance and compliance matters.Advising clients at all stages of real estate development, Steven has represented real estate owners, developers, lenders, industrial and residential tenants and landlords in connection with the purchase, sale, development and lease of real estate property in Canada and the United States. Steven’s Corporate and Commercial Practice also lends expertise in the area of medical and dental practice business law, on behalf of solo practitioners, partnerships or large groups. Steven has a client based of doctors, working with them in incorporating their professional practice, purchase and sale agreements, facilitating the transfer of assets, partnership arrangements, , general issues relating to employment and associate agreements, and all of their structural and business needs. As well as a practicing lawyer, Steven works with students at the University of Manitoba Law School, as a section lecturer in the Art of Negotiation and volunteers his time as coach of the Robson Hall negotiation team. Steven is dedicated to community service and has served on the board of Graffiti Art Programming (Graffiti Gallery) since 2010. Most recently he was appointed Chair of this board.
