Hello, I'm Steven, an aspiring Game Developer and current fourth year student at Ontario Tech University in the Game Development and Interactive Media program. I have experience designing Art, Gameplay Programming, UI/UX and Animating in various game engines and Blender. Also, I am an active member of the Game Art and Game Programming Clubs at Ontario Tech University.As a Pool In-Charge at the City of Toronto Parks & Recreation Aquatics Division, I manage the daily operations and safety of the aquatic facility, supervise and train swim instructors, and deliver customer service to clients. I have been working in this role for three years, and I have been a lifeguard for six years. I also work as a carpenter assistant at James Meredith Fine Cabinetry, where I help with the installation and repair of custom-made cabinets and furniture. I have been honing my carpentry skills for over seven years, and I enjoy making functional pieces for clients. I am currently pursuing a bachelor of Business and Information Technology degree at Ontario Tech University, in Game Development and Interactive Media. I have a passion for creating engaging and immersive user experiences, and I have obtained certifications in UI and UX design from BrainStation. I have worked on 2D and 3D games in Engines such as Unity and Unreal, such as designing art and writing code for those projects. Brainstorming heuristics for development issues, and conducting user research are other strengths of mine.Additionally, I've studied philosophy at Wilfrid Laurier University and computer science at Queen's University, which have given me a broad and critical perspective on various topics and issues. I am a versatile professional with a strong work ethic, a collaborative spirit, a teamwork oriented mentality, and a continuous learning attitude.
