Hydrogeology ExperienceDeveloped conceptual hydrogeologic models and conducted more than 20 groundwater flow models forlarge-scale open-pit and underground mines in Nevada, Arizona, Canada, Botswana, Democratic Republicof Congo, South Africa, Guyana, Chile, Ecuador and Peru. Project experiences include developing conceptual hydrogeologic models, constructing and calibrating groundwater flow models, constructing and calibrating fate and transport models, managing project deliverables and budgets, and preparing technical reports. The outputs from these groundwater flow models were used in the design of dewatering systems, as inputs for slope-stability analyses, and as the basis for the management of mine-water discharge.Water-Resource Engineering ExperienceConducted water-resource analyses including the review of surface-water, groundwater, and climate datato characterize the hydrologic condition of local watersheds; estimate of inflow, outflow, and storagechanges of local watersheds; as well as the hydraulic parameters of a groundwater system based on fieldinvestigations. Provided guidance on the design of groundwater pumping systems to minimize flow intokey areas and water-level monitoring systems to track the progress of the pumping systems. Providedguidance on the construction materials and schematics of monitoring wells, piezometers, and pumpingwells.Research ExperienceDeveloped groundwater and surface-water models to address the impacts of subsurface hydraulicconductivity heterogeneity on the interaction between groundwater and surface water. Creatednumerical models to simulate groundwater flow between large fractures and porous media in karstsystems and to analyze field hydrogeophysical data. Designed a method to estimate groundwater andsurface-water fractions using hydrogeophysics.
