I enjoyed that so much that after an internship doing more automation of data collection at Emerson Electric's Advanced Motor Research facility in St. Louis, I finished grad school and went straight to National Instruments. Over the course of the following 25+ years, I helped some customers do some pretty interesting things with LabVIEW, and helped improve the product and deliver it to all kinds of interesting platforms.
