Steven M. Padilla, a 1972 graduate of Arizona State University, with a BS in Engineering and Construction, has devoted his entire 40-year professional career to Hunter Contracting Co. and the construction industry. His personal, hands-on experience encompasses a wide variety of projects that include highways, water and wastewater treatment facilities, residential construction and land development. Established in 1961, Hunter Contracting Co. is a general contractor based in Gilbert, Arizona. Mr. Padilla began his career at Hunter in 1972 and has held the following positions before becoming President in 2000: Estimator and Project Engineer - 1972 - 1978 Project Superintendent - 1978 – 1980 Project Manager - 1980 – 1983 Chief Estimator - 1983 – 1986 Vice President – Operations 1986 – 1997 Chief Operations Officer 1997 – 2000 President 2000 – 2014 CEO 2015 - PresentMr. Padilla’s professional, civic affiliations and recognitions include: ASU Alliance for Construction Excellence – Founding Member Del E.
