Part of the senior management team, supporting the implementation of the South Norfolk and Broadland District Council leisure strategy.Helping to drive forward the leisure recovery plan, to deliver a financially robust and competitive leisure service. Taking a strategic approach to help maximise the facilities the council offers and ensure value for money for residents and tax payers. To help improve health, well-being and increase physical activity and accessibility, across the districts.To develop business cases to support and enhance existing facilities and identify commercially viable opportunities to increase revenue. To work with relevant partner organisations, achieving inward funding investment to keep developing the leisure service and facilities.

Diss Golf Club is a Private Members Golf Club, founded in 1903, with a membership base of around 650 members. I was responsible for the overall operational management and delivery of the club, which included governance, health and safety, HR, business development and strategy, customer experience, marketing, budgetary control and an in-house F&B operation.I was responsible for 17 staff members, reporting to the club Chair and Management Committee.

England Golf is one of the biggest National Governing Bodies of sport in England.A strategic and managerial role, my responsibility was to implement national objectives on a local level and the support, management and performance monitoring of the Club Support Officers in the East Region.Other key areas included relationship management/ development and providing practical support to golf clubs on areas such as; effective governance, business strategy, facility development, marketing, membership growth/ retention and safeguarding and other appropriate legislation.

• Providing a professional, effective and proactive data management service to business users.• Researching and investigation into business aspects and operation of Marsh clients. This was performed using Global Referencing Systems (GRS), MINA, Dun & Bradstreet and the internet.• Editing of company records and details using Prospect Client Registration (PCR).

Starting out as a Fitness Instructor/ Personal Trainer, I progressed into a management position within this busy leisure club which had c.1300 members (not including hotel guests). The leisure club housed an extensive gym/ fitness suite and pool area with spa, steam room and sauna.
