My passion is the achievement of the best possible corporate performance through gaining a deep understanding of the underlying technology, the drivers of sustainable performance and communicating these effectively with all stakeholders.I have Bachelor of Commerce, an MBA, will complete a Bachelor of Science this year and have over 30 years commercial and operational experience working the manufacturing sector with the last 7 years as CFO of a public company Bradken Ltd.I have strong analytical, financial and communication skills having presented biannual financial and operational results to the public markets and stakeholders over the 7 years as CFO. My approach involved linking underlying products and technology to the financial results rather than just looking at the numbers themselves. Shareholders often stated my presentations increased their understanding of the fundamental drivers behind the results and their confidence in the company.I am able to work effectively and adapt to any workplace environment, having worked in 3 countries and 15 workplaces. For example working in South America, I worked hard to learn the language and invested time listening and gaining an understanding of the issues for the poor business performance. By then end of my secondment, we had built a high performing team and turned a loss into a substantial profit.I think having a passion for understanding the science and fundamental drivers behind manufacturing technology and its sustainability is important, however the follow-on analysis, and being able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders are also critical to getting a successful outcome.
