Steven Pringle is a Reserve Naval Officer with the Australian Civil- Military Centre and the Australian Department of Defence Global Change and Energy Sustainability Initiative. Previously he was the inaugural Director, Community Engagement with Macquarie University, building on his skills as the Member for Hawkesbury in the New South Wales Parliament. In the New South Wales Parliament he was the Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and a member of the Lane Cove Tunnel Inquiry Committee, Public Works Committee and the Committee to Inquire into the Office of the Valuer-General. Before being elected to Parliament Steven was a serving Naval Officer undertaking a wide variety of roles, at the same time as being Mayor or Councillor with Hornsby Shire Council, Sydney. He began his career with the now Westpac Banking Corporation. Steven is a Director, Community Foundation of North Western Sydney and Improvement Matters.
