As a Regional Operations Manager, I built Chicago operations from the ground up in late December of 2019. I identified 15 terminals and decided on one, hired 15 drivers by the end of January, and grew our dedicated local business from seven drivers to 10 drivers contractually while delivering nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, argon, and ethylene product lines. In seven months, we diversified our customer base and product lines while activating an additional 20 I/C drivers sent to the Chicago market from Texas planned toward multiple outages and purges utilizing my book of business contacts acquired over my 26 year career managing the Chicago market. The territory serviced was Chicago to the East Coast down to Florida and Louisiana. We built a safe, high performing team slip seating 12 drivers 24/7 operations. We made over 4,100 deliveries inside of seven months with two incidents. We planned our additional company drivers on oxygen and nitrogen deliveries while moving hydrogen, CO2, ethylene, and argon tube trailers locally, regionally, and OTR servicing all corporations in the cryogenic industry.
