Throughout my police career I have taken great pride in being a professional who truly tried to serve the public and place their welfare and security above all else. As a change agent chief/administrator in three very different police agencies I strived first and foremost to be fair and to give each employee the opportunity to succeed within the organization. My philosophy has always been to abide by the banner, "A manager counts people, a leader makes the people count." I believe that in each assignment, from patrol officer, to detective, to first line supervisor, to chief, I achieved that goal. I had a vision and a desire to lead the organizations to enjoy every success that could be obtained and that the personnel within received the credit they deserved for their contributions to our objectives. I was recognized as a leader in the law enforcement community and served on several committees at the local, state, and international level, including being a charter member of the IACP Civil Rights Committee. I was one of three authors chosen to edit/update the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and one of many on the committee that contributed to the writing the Law Enforcement Code of Conduct adopted by the IACP. I have been recognized for solving many major felony crimes in several differing jurisdictions, including Senate Resolutions in the States of Mississippi and Illinois, using my Subconscious Communication® techniques. I am a three-time recipient of the Medal of Valor and honored to have received numerous other awards and recognitions. I have lectured extensively throughout the United States and Internationally and am recognized as an expert in the field of Subconscious Communication® and Body Language. I am a POST certified police instructor in 17 states and have presented my material to agencies in all 50 states, every federal law enforcement agency and students from 67 foreign countries. .
