Steven J. Ricca is a Member in the Firm's Energy & Environment, OSHA and Real Property practice groups. Steve has represented clients before state and federal regulatory agencies including, among others, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Steve is well-versed in state and federal health and safety regulations, and has handled enforcement matters before OSHA and the New York State Department of Labor for a broad array of industries such as the healthcare, manufacturing, food distribution and retail and asbestos remediation industries.Mr. Ricca also has extensive experience in handling land use matters and related environmental review and zoning procedures; regulatory compliance, permitting and enforcement matters; brownfield and other environmental cleanup matters; and environmental cost recovery litigation. Mr. Ricca is very active in various community organizations and has focused on numerous legislative reform initiatives designed to foster regional economic development and adaptive reuse of buildings. He is also a frequent public speaker on a broad range of environmental OSHA and regional economic development issues.
