‘Steven Rose has worked in the city for over 30 years. Between 1989 and 1999 he worked for various regulated entities and has run back offices, operations teams, been a compliance officer, and a Managing Director in a futures company. In 1999 he became a partner in an Electronic Trading business called MacFutures, initially to support professional traders moving from the London trading floors onto the screens, and developed one of the first graduate training programs in London. This business was acquired by Refco in 2004, and during this time the business grew to well over a 1000 traders, with over 10 offices based in UK, Europe, North America and Asia. When Refco went into administration in 2006 the European business was acquired by Marex Spectron, and the Pro Trader Division was created.’
