After being promoted from a representative to an assistant manager in my first year, I was able to own and operate my own office the following summer in 2012. The whole process began with a large budgeting and forecasting overview that I created to evaluate projected recruiting goals, projected sales, and all operating expenses to produce a break-even analysis and a profit goal. Once, this was generated then I began recruiting through newspapers, on-campus, letters to students, and placing signs around the designated area. I searched for and leased an office which played into my budgeting and interviewed/hired receptionists. I ran around 10 interviews every week to hire new representatives and communicated with them daily either on the phone or in consulting meetings to help with their performance.
