I currently work for myself at SRLloyd Media. I spend an awful lot of time creating little pieces of genius that I often can't take credit for. This is a typical pitfall for the freelancer.. Fortunately my client base is ever increasing thanks to my painstaking perfectionism. "You cant rush art" I heard that in the first Toy Story film in 1995 ... Remember the old guy painting woody? Well, I never forgot that. This is why I often work late into the night, where I often produce my best work actually.If you do a job for the money, you're never going to get it. I do my job because I love it. I get tremendous satisfaction from somebody thanking me for boosting their profits through promotional work I've done for them. I'd take job satisfaction over any amount of money, hence why I work for myself.

If it needed branding or designing, I did it. When I joined the company in 2005 they had no marketing material of their own. I designed a full range of product brochures in multiple languages, designed and ran the websites (four in total in several languages). I branded new products, promoted them online and generated a huge amount of sales. I could go on and on, but I won't !

I was a very under-paid web designer at this stage. I spent a lot of time using Flash (When it was Macromedia), trying desperately hard to make the boring things in life seem more interesting.
