As an Investment Management Consultant, I am in charge of assuming an intermediary role between buyside/IAM clients, financial software and market data by providing technological solutions and insights to benefit and drive investment decisions. With my specific accounts, I provide proactive and guidance for, and add value through portfolio analytics, client data integration and delivering proprietary & third-party data (through on-platform content or off-platform APIs/datafeed solutions).I have produced strong quantitative results during my tenure, by outperforming our region's meeting goals by 10+%. From a qualitative standpoint, success has come from building client partnerships, through engaging and leading in enterprise-level projects (such as working with my client's asset allocation team to construct & backtest systematic strategies, to launch ESG-oriented funds/ETPs). My efforts have lead to multiple accomplishments, like our "Above and Beyond" award (achieved through exceptional client commitment and given by the Director of Consulting across the Americas). Along with my team, I actively manage/support a book of business belonging to FactSet’s Strategic Client Group accounting for $10 million in Annual Subscription Value (ASV), with $2-2.5 million in opportunities for the current fiscal year's pipeline. Account growth has come from building strong relationships with investment, data science/governance and R&D teams. In 2020, we landed a key victory by working closely with client's operation/backend teams while our platform migrated off of our legacy infrastructure. After ensuring software stability/performance, production processes and data validity was improved (or reached parity) via our NextGen suite, this contributed to my book's largest client extending their contract (securing a minimum of $6 million in annual business).

Selected for an 8-month deployment project implementing FactSet's software, web solutions and market data offerings for Merrill Lynch and additional wealth management firms. Successfully integrated FactSet for over 35,000 financial advisors, analysts and client associates, and successfully displaced competitors throughout the process.Actively engaged with wealth management clients onsite and virtually to provide software trainings and learn each client’s workflow, to determine which applications/product offerings added the most value to their investment strategies.Lead over 400 onsite individual and group meetings, and trained 87% of Merrill's user base within the Midwest region (outpaced the national client engagement average of 75%).

Assisted with studying and aggregating corporate governance data across the financial sector and banking industry. Compiled data (sourced from SEC filings such as DEF 14A's) aimed to quantify board information via statistical analysis, to determine if executive/board decisions impacted share price performance.Gained technical experiences via the role, by leveraging financial software providers (such as FactSet/Bloomberg/Reuters) to pull information via APIs, as well as practicing data scrapes via web browsers.

The Ohio University Derivatives Management Group actively manages a portfolio of equity derivatives for Ohio University's Financial Advisory Council (FAC). The group operates through multiple verticles/teams, including investments, macroeconomic research, and traders, all of which use fundamental and technical analysis to identify investment opportunities. Membership grants students access to premier data and research tools, such as the Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, Thomson Reuters/Refinitiv Eikon and other industry-leading platforms to aid in investment decisions. All trades dealing with legit funding are student-driven without faculty oversight, so experience with brokerage (like E*Trade) is also gained. As a member of the group's executive board, I was responsible for overseeing research and trade ideas produced by investment teams. Once teams presented their investment pitch to the group, I would ensure that investment decisions were feasible, and would personally execute all trades via the group's brokerage account (Monitoring positions and providing weekly portfolio P/L updates was also my responsibility). Additionally, I also lead new/existing member trainings related to technical analysis and options fundamentals (i.e. basics and advanced concepts such as pricing models and Options Greeks). Strong Performance was achieved through effective trading strategies, such as limiting risk through multi-legged strategies, hedging against volatility through VIX contracts, and maintaining a delta-neutral portfolio (leading to a 32% return as the VP of investments). Additional group success came from internal involvement opportunities, such as competing in the CFA challenge, as well as presenting investment strategies/market outlooks at FAC-hosted events (with one event resulting in a $5,000 alumni donation, for our ability to incorporate data analytics and quantitative measures into the group's investment decisions).

As an Intern, primarily responsibilities included constructing and presenting logistics reports for customers to identify operational freight savings by incorporating data analytics (for both Less than (LTL) and Full (FTL) Truckload shipments).Collaboration occured with both logistics and IT analysts to create more efficient business processes within the logistics department. Projects included proposing updated functionality for the firm’s transportation management systems and data extraction methods from internal databases.Historically, the Logistics Industry has not been known as a leader or early-adopter of technology, as many processes and workflows lack automation or are completed manually. This provided me with an opportunity to provide technological recommendations for the company, by incorporating analytics to identify savings opportunities for client shipments, assist with constructing freight contracts, as well as implement the use of software/applications (such as introducing employees to products like Tableau to use for analysis and client reporting).
